First-Time Passport Application Guide

Never had a Pakistani passport before? This step-by-step guide walks you through the entire process.

Who Can Apply?

Any Pakistani citizen with a valid CNIC (18+ years)
Children below 18 with guardian's consent
Pakistani nationals living abroad (via embassy)
Dual nationals may also apply at NADRA offices

Step-by-Step Process

1

Get Your CNIC First

Before applying for a passport, you must have a valid CNIC (for adults 18+). Visit your nearest NADRA office to obtain or verify your CNIC. Children need their B-Form.

2

Collect Form 1

Visit any NADRA passport office and collect Form 1. Fill it in carefully using black ink. No corrections or overwriting allowed. Get a fresh form if you make a mistake.

3

Get Passport Photos

Get 2 recent passport-size photos (35x45mm) on a white background. Photos must be taken within the last 6 months.

4

Pay the Fee at Bank

Deposit the required fee at HBL, NBP, MCB, or UBL. The bank will give you a challan receipt. Keep the original.

5

Visit NADRA Passport Office

Go to any NADRA passport office with all documents. Take a token number and wait. Biometrics (fingerprints + photo) will be taken.

6

Police Verification

A local police officer may visit your address to verify your identity. This is a standard part of the first-time application process.

7

Collection

Once ready, collect your passport from the office or choose home delivery. Use your token number to track the status.
