Saudi Arabia Introduces New E-Umrah System for Pakistani Pilgrims
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a new digital e-Umrah platform (Nusuk) that allows Pakistani Muslims to apply for Umrah visas directly, bypassing the traditional requirement to go through licensed travel agents for the visa application itself.
Through the Nusuk platform (nusuk.sa), Pakistani pilgrims can apply for an Umrah visa, book flights, and even reserve accommodation in Makkah and Madinah directly. The platform supports English, Urdu, and Arabic.
However, obtaining a proper Umrah package (flights + hotel) is still mandatory. The platform simply makes it easier to manage the process digitally.
The Umrah visa remains free, but pilgrims must pay for their accommodation and flights. Saudi Arabia has announced an increase in Umrah quotas for Pakistani pilgrims in 2026.
